About the course

Fifty-five years of the department, Twenty-six years of the Post-Graduate Course, and the ground still holds

EXC55D is the 26th Post-Graduate Course of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of the Philippines–Philippine General Hospital, and the kick-off to the Department's 55th Founding Anniversary.

Over two days the course revisits the areas the Department has championed and excelled in — from neuromuscular and neurologic rehabilitation to community-based practice, musculoskeletal care, training, education and governance across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It is built for physicians and allied health professionals alike.

Regular rates, group rates and discounts. Early-bird rates ended on 10 October 2026; regular rates now apply. A 20% discount applies to Senior Citizens and Persons with Disability registering individually. Groups may register ten participants with one free, or five from a rehabilitation training institution at a flat rate per head with one free — group rates do not carry the Senior Citizen or PWD discount.

Group rates. Register ten participants and one is free, or five from a rehabilitation training institution at a flat rate per head with one free. Either way the fees are paid upfront in one payment — a group booking cannot be reserved for later, and group rates do not carry the Senior Citizen or PWD discount. Choose Register & pay now (group) for this.
Registering as an individual gives up the group rate. If your team intends to claim it, do not enlist separately first — the system detects duplicate registrations and will refuse the same person twice. Have your group contact person complete one group booking for the whole team.

Before you come to the event

Here is everything registered participants need to know ahead of October 23 and 24.

1. Event Details

  • Event Date: October 23–24, 2026 (Friday–Saturday)
  • Venue: Grand Ballroom, Century Park Hotel, Manila
  • Registration Time: 7:00 AM
  • Plenary Attire: Smart Casual. Bring a light jacket, blazer or sweater as the conference hall may be chilly.
  • Parking: Parking slots in the venue are limited. Parking fee is a flat rate of PHP150 / day.
  • Commute: The nearest LRT 1 station to the venue is Vito Cruz Station. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the station. There are also tricycles or pedicabs near the LRT station that can take you straight to the hotel.

2. Registration Requirements

Registration will begin at 7:00am on October 23, 2026. Given the number of expected attendees, you may spend several minutes in line for the registration. Please arrive early to allow sufficient time for this process before the program begins.

To ensure a smooth registration process, please prepare the following and present them at the registration desk:

  • PRC ID: Bring your valid PRC-issued identification card for verification.
  • PWD/Senior ID: Bring your valid PWD/Senior identification card for verification if you availed of discounts.
  • Reference ID: Provide your unique Reference ID at the registration desk.

3. Attendance Requirements

You are required to sign the PRC-mandated attendance sheets:

  • Plenary lectures - sign at the Registration Desk. There is only one attendance sheet for both days of the plenary lectures, so if you have already registered and signed on Day 1, there is no need to sign again on Day 2.
  • Workshop - sign the attendance sheet outside your workshop venue.

4. Workshop-Specific Instructions

Workshop 1 – Integrating Electrodiagnosis and Neuromuscular Ultrasound: A Hands-On Approach

  • Venue: Kanlaon Room
  • Special instructions: None

Workshop 2 – Interdisciplinary Lymphedema Management

  • Venue: Century Park Grand Ballroom A
  • Special instructions: Attendees are requested to wear loose upper garments that will allow exposure of the arm and shoulder. Although not required, attendees are encouraged to bring their own tape measure, and alcohol or hand sanitizer.

Workshop 3 – Considerations in Fabricating Adaptive Seats

  • Venue: Mayon A and B Rooms
  • Special instructions: Attendees will be fabricating and assembling actual adaptive seats. Wear comfortable clothes so you can move around freely. Attendees are required to wear closed shoes, and are encouraged to bring face masks.

Workshop 4 – The Rehab Team Huddle: Interdisciplinary Goal-Setting and Team Conferencing

  • Venue: Century Park Grand Ballroom B
  • Special instructions: Although not required, attendees are encouraged to bring a tablet or a laptop for the team output and presentation.

Please take note of the following workshop guidelines:

  1. Be punctual. Arrive at the workshop area before 8:00am session starts to allow time for attendance signing and preparation.
  2. Materials for the workshop will be provided. All materials that will be used during the workshop will be provided by the organizers and will be handed out in the venue. You will be informed on the day as to which items can be brought home with you and which items must be returned to the organizers.
  3. Follow safety guidelines at all times. Some workshops deal with equipment and materials that can be injurious to participants if used incorrectly. Please handle all materials and equipment safely. Playful and/or rough interactions are prohibited at all times.

5. Pre-Test, Post-Test and Evaluation Requirements

All participants are expected to complete the pre-test, post-test and conference evaluation as part of the event's learning and evaluation activities. All these tests will be available in the website.

  • Pre-Test - will be open October 23, 2026, 6:00am
  • Post-Test - will be open October 24, 2026, 3:00pm
  • Day 1 Conference evaluation - will be open on October 23, 2026, 3:00pm
  • Day 2 Conference evaluation - will be open on October 24, 2026, 3:00pm

Once these tests are completed, you will be able to download your certificate in PDF format.

6. Handouts and Lecture Materials

Handouts and lecture materials from plenary speakers and workshop facilitators will be available in the website. Please use your registration details to open or access these files.

Attendance, tests and your certificate

Sign your attendance, answer the pre-test, post-test and conference evaluation, then download your certificate of attendance. Open to verified participants only.

You will need your Reference ID number. Group participants use their own attendee Reference ID (the one ending in -01 to -10), not the group reference. Find it in your confirmation e-mail or your event packet.

Frequently asked

How do I know my registration went through?

You receive a booking reference the moment you enlist, and a confirmation e-mail shortly after. Your slot is only confirmed once the secretariat verifies your payment — usually within two working days of you uploading your proof.

How do I send my proof of payment?

Please go to the Registration tab, select Pay for reserved slot and follow the instructions. No need to e-mail the secretariat.

Can I send someone in my place?

Yes, up to seven days before the course. E-mail the secretariat with your booking reference and the replacement's full details, PRC number and profession. If the replacement's registration fee differs from yours, the difference shall be settled at the registration desk on the day of the event.

Is the registration fee refundable?

Cancellations received more than 14 days before the course are refunded less a processing fee. Within 14 days the fee is non-refundable, but the slot may be transferred to a colleague.

Will I get CPD units, and how many?

The Department has filed the CPD accreditation application with the PRC. The number of units is confirmed once the CPD Council acts on the application, and will be posted here. Units require the signed attendance sheet, completed tests and the evaluation form.

Can I attend only one day?

The fee covers both days and is not split. You are welcome to attend only one day, but the fee is unchanged and CPD units are credited only for sessions you attend.

Are meals included?

Yes — morning and afternoon snacks, and lunch, will be provided on both days. Please let the secretariat know any dietary requirements.

Will lectures be recorded or shared?

Selected lectures are recorded and clips may be posted to the Department's website and Facebook page, with each speaker's written consent. Slide decks are not distributed unless a speaker releases them.

For the organising committee

Registrations are stored in Supabase. Reference ID numbers, fees and workshop capacity are all computed in the database, so they cannot be altered from the browser. The registration desk is at /admin and is limited to the accounts listed in committee_users.

Rates and cut-off dates live in the fees and settings tables; workshop capacity lives in workshops. Change them there and this page follows on the next load.
